Oceanside Women’s Golf Club

WEEKLY TOURNAMENTS:  Each week (except for major and special tournaments) there is a different game.  Low net scores for the game in each flight are the winners for the week.  Each foursome keeps two separate score cards: Mark one Sweeps and the other Handicap for box.

Winnings are recorded weekly with pay-outs awarded monthly in the pro shop.  You may use these winnings for green fees, lessons, merchandize or food & beverages in club house.

Weekly sign-up will be handled through Golf Genius. An announcement is sent out each week and the player selects “PLAYING” or “NOT PLAYING” indicated their plan for the coming weeks. Playing members will be assigned a tee time and playing partners.

ACE OF THE MONTH:  The Thursday of each month the player with the lowest NET score is the ace.  Ties are carded off.  In December there will be an Ace of the Year Tournament to determine winner for the year.

CLOSEST TO FLAGSTICK:  Players may sign the sheet and make $2.00 contribution prior to play to enter competition. Payouts made weekly after play.

HOLE IN ONE:  Players have the option of joining for $5.00.  Player who scores a hole-in-one during regular Thursday play receives entire fund.  In case of multi-winners, fund is divided equally.  Anther fund is started again with $5.00 contribution following winning payout.

MEETINGS:  General meetings will be held  at least twice a year(March & November).  There will be a Shot Gun Tournament starting at 8 a.m.   Golf Genius will notify you of foursome and start hole.  If there is a rain-out General Meeting day, the weekly tournament will be cancelled and the meeting will be  held at 9 a.m. Quarterly Board meetings help Jan. Southern California Golf Association (SCGA): Membership ($36) is included in your annual dues.  In case of multiple club memberships a rebate beyond $55 may be requested through SCGA by going to saga.org and selecting Multi-Member under “Join” option.

San Diego County Women’s Golf Association (SDCWGA): Operates on a volunteer basis at no charge. It offers field days or special events, usually on Mondays. These field days are held at country clubs and public courses in San Diego County.  Further information may be obtained by visiting their website at sdcwga.net.
